Master of Accounting at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas Initiates AI-Based Learning Collaboration

The Master of Accounting Program at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas (UHW Perbanas) has initiated a collaborative program to develop Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning for SD Negeri Jemurwonosari 1, Surabaya.The initiative commenced with a courtesy visit led by the Rector of UHW Perbanas, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, accompanied by the Head of the Master of Accounting Program, Dr. Nurul Hasanah Uswati Dewi, and a Master of Accounting student, Ajeng Astari Ayuningtyas.
During the meeting, the parties discussed plans to organize a Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) involving lecturers and students of the Master of Accounting Program. The program will focus on mentoring and training elementary school teachers in integrating AI into classroom instruction.
“This opportunity allows us to engage in constructive discussions and plan a community service initiative for lecturers and students of the Master of Accounting Program at UHW Perbanas. The program will take the form of mentoring and training for elementary school teachers,” explained Dr. Nurul Hasanah on Thursday (February 12).
She further stated that the implementation of the program is targeted for Ramadan 2026. “Elementary school teachers will be provided with training materials on the effective utilization of Artificial Intelligence to enhance the learning process. God willing, we aim to implement this program during the fasting month in 2026,” she added.
Meanwhile, the Rector of UHW Perbanas, Dr. Yudi Sutarso, expressed his full support for the initiative as part of the university’s broader commitment to improving the quality of education within the community. He emphasized that higher education institutions should generate tangible societal impact and reaffirmed UHW Perbanas’ commitment to contributing positively through collaborative programs.
“This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to supporting the transformation of basic education through the integration of digital technology and Artificial Intelligence. We encourage teachers to become adaptive and creative in developing innovative learning approaches while strengthening technological literacy within the school environment,” he asserted.
The delegation from UHW Perbanas was warmly received by the Principal of SDN Jemurwonosari 1, Suparman, S.Pd., M.M., along with a representative of parents/guardians, Hakim. The meeting marked an initial step in establishing synergy between higher education and primary education institutions in promoting technology-based learning innovation. The involvement of all stakeholders is expected to provide meaningful academic experience while simultaneously strengthening community engagement through impactful university programs. (pr)
