The introduction of new students (Maba) group 1 STIE Perbanas Surabaya has been going on for 4 days, to be precise Monday-Thursday, (1-4 / 8). This annual routine event to make it easier for new students to recognize the world of campus is packaged in the 2016 HARMONI event. There are 338 new students who are members of cluster 1.

Happy and cheerful faces were also emanating from all the new students who were accepted by STIE Perbanas Surabaya. They have also made various expressions of gratitude, one of which is by giving Chocolate Independence to a number of motorcyclists around Jalan Nginden Semolo Surabaya. Apart from being an expression of gratitude, they live this activity as a form of caring for others. The reason was given the name Chocolate Independence because it coincided in August, the New Students of the Business & Banking Campus wanted to show an attitude of nationalism by sharing to strengthen the bonds of national unity and integrity.

The STIE Perbanas Surabaya also appreciated the bright ideas of new students. Because the introduction of new students at STIE Perbanas Surabaya eliminated the hazing system, it was replaced by more valuable activities, namely the cultivation of character education so that they form caring, responsible, and loving attitudes to the country and have a tough spirit with a global perspective.

New Student Action Coordinator, Dhea Aprilyani Muchtar stated that youth must be able to filter culture in the era of globalization. "Do not let us fall into the western culture too freely. Youth must become pioneers to uphold the dignity of the nation by fostering a spirit of nationalism, as introduced by the hero figure Prof. Moh Yamin, SH.," Said the Bachelor of Management student.
