Enhancing Lecturer Competence, UHW Perbanas Conducts Business Simulation Training

To strengthen lecturers' competencies, Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas organized a Business Simulation Training on Thursday–Friday (October 16–17). The activity took place in Room C401, Wonorejo Campus, and was attended by 30 lecturers from both the Faculty of Engineering & Design and the Faculty of Economics & Business.The Head of the Integrated Laboratory of UHW Perbanas, Nuraini Rokhmania, S.E., Ak., M.Ak., explained that during the training, each lecturer assumes a role as part of the business process within a simulated company.
“In this training, we act as business practitioners. Each lecturer takes responsibility for a specific business process, allowing us to directly experience how it feels to be part of a company,” she explained.
She elaborated that the participants were assigned to various business units, including procurement, sales order, human resources, accounting & finance, and production.
“In principle, the main objective of a company is to generate the highest possible profit. Through this simulation, we learn and formulate strategies to manage the company optimally using available resources while adhering to existing rules,” she added.
Furthermore, she emphasized that the primary goal of the business simulation training is to enhance lecturers’ competencies so that they can transfer more comprehensive knowledge to students.
“This training is also essential in supporting the development of the digital laboratory at Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas,” she noted.
Throughout the training session, UHW Perbanas invited a practitioner from PT Harfan Tri Megah (Edugate) to guide the participants in understanding comprehensive business workflows through company simulation activities.
This training activity is one of the implementations of the 2025 Private Higher Education Strengthening Partnership Grant Program (PP-PTS) from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
