UHW Perbanas Lecturers Deliver Workshop on OBE-Based Curriculum Design at Universitas Bumi Hijrah Tidore

A team of lecturers from Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas served as speakers at Universitas Bumi Hijrah Tidore, participating in a three-day Workshop on Outcome Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Design held from Monday to Wednesday (October 13–15). The activity was part of the 2025 Partnership Program for Strengthening Private Universities (PP-PTS) funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek).

Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UHW Perbanas, Prof. Dr. Lutfi, S.E., M.Fin., stated that this initiative represents an important step by the government in supporting private universities across Indonesia. The workshop aimed to enhance lecturers’ understanding—particularly from the Accounting Study Program—of the fundamental principles and concepts in developing an OBE-based curriculum.

“During this workshop, we provided technical guidance on preparing curriculum documents aligned with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and the National Standards for Higher Education (SN-Dikti). In addition, the participants are expected to strengthen their ability to design course content, map learning outcomes (CPL–CPMK), and develop systematic assessment matrices,” explained Prof. Lutfi after delivering his session.

He further emphasized that once the participants fully understand and apply the concepts discussed, they will be able to enhance their study programs’ readiness for accreditation, especially in terms of the completeness and quality of their OBE-based curriculum documentation.

Prof. Lutfi also expressed hope that the training would build the capacity of program managers and lecturers to review and refine their curricula in alignment with OBE principles. Moreover, participants were encouraged to identify curriculum relevance to industry needs, analyze the alignment of learning outcomes, and design data-driven improvements based on stakeholder feedback.

“Through this workshop, we expect the outcome to be an adaptive, outcome-oriented curriculum that supports improved learning quality and program accreditation. The ultimate goal is to produce OBE-based curriculum drafts for 11 study programs at Universitas Bumi Hijrah Tidore,” he concluded.

During the workshop, three lecturers from UHW Perbanas delivered material sessions: Prof. Dr. Lutfi, S.E., M.Fin.; Mochamad Nurhadi, S.Kom., M.M.; and Heri Supriyanto, S.Kom., M.Kom. (eko/pr)
