The Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Collaboration of Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas, Dr. Dra. Lindiawati, M.M., stated that this activity was held as part of the university’s support for the national health program, which is implemented at the district level and extended through partnerships with higher education institutions.
“Today, faculty members, staff, and students are all undergoing health checks in stages,” she explained during the Free Health Check-Up held in Room C301, Wonorejo Campus, on Thursday (August 21).
She further emphasized that such free health programs should be conducted on a regular basis. According to her, many people, once occupied with work, often neglect their own health.
“Through this program, we hope to foster greater awareness of our health. We are encouraged to exercise together, maintain balanced nutrition, cultivate a positive mindset, and ensure healthy sleep patterns. Hopefully, this collaboration between the public health center, the university, and the wider community will continue in order to promote greater concern for public health,” she expressed.
A UHW Perbanas student, Ni Nyoman Asti Setya Putri, shared that the Free Health Check-Up was very beneficial as it allowed her to better understand her physical condition. “Now I know whether my blood sugar level is normal. Having this knowledge helps me maintain a healthier diet to support my well-being,” explained the student from Bali.
The health services provided by the Medokan Public Health Center during the event included examinations for blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, eye and dental health, as well as doctor consultations. (eko/hms)
