Supporting the 1 Family 1 Graduate Program, UHW Perbanas Organizes an Internship Preparation Program

Starting in 2024, the Surabaya City Government has launched the 1 Family 1 Graduate program for its residents. This initiative is also supported by Universitas Hayam Wuruk Perbanas (UHW Perbanas). In September 2024, the Diploma 3 Program of UHW Perbanas admitted students from Surabaya through a collaboration between the Surabaya City Government, Bhakti Persatuan Foundation (YBP), and UHW Perbanas.Through this program, 13 students were enrolled in the Diploma 3 Program in Banking and Finance and have been attending lectures for one semester. As they approach their second semester, they are now participating in the Internship Preparation Program.
When interviewed, Head of the Diploma 3 Program at UHW Perbanas, Dr. Putri Wulanditya, S.E, Ak., M.Ak., explained that the program aims to equip students with the necessary skills to enter the industry. “They complete one year of coursework first, followed by two years of internship in the industry while continuing their studies either online or offline,” she stated during the event on Wednesday (12/2).
During the Internship Preparation Program, students received training on Profile Development, Handsome & Beauty Class, Grooming, and a Professional Photo Session. She emphasized that these activities are essential for students as they prepare for their internships and future careers. “We want to fully support them in accordance with the agreement we have established,” she added.
The university hopes that this initiative will help students transition smoothly into their internships, especially since most of them have no prior experience in the banking or financial industry. (eko/pr)
